We’ll take you back to the history of Cartagena through a piece of it, in a different and creative way. We’ll go back to the IXth century to experiment a sailing trip with a traditional rigging as the old local fisherman did.
We’ll prepare a latin sailing boat with a Latin sail called “San Antonio”, an old sardine boat of about 100 years old in which we will go aboard to get to know one of the only natural harbours with the most historical interest in Europe. Our guides will capture the best memories in video and photo.
Once the trip is finished we ‘ll land at the harbour and we’ll go to the fishing restaurant to enjoy a seafood lunch.
After the lunch, we will go on to see the first submarine in history “Isaac Peral” and a series of panels, showcases and media where aspects of the inventor`s life and the submarine vicissitudes are shown. We will continue through a historic building in 1785, whose original use was the Barracks of Presidiae and Slaves. In its thematic areas many important funds are shown related to shipbuilding activities, cartography and navigation, naval artillery, naval health, flags and uniforms, submarines, diving, and a paintings collection.
After the experience, we invite you to stroll through the main historic streets of Cartagena where you can see and buy traditional and memorable objects.
